The Enterprise Promotion Service Centre encourages the expansion of businesses in southern Sardinia in foreign markets. This objective involves various areas in which the Centre intervenes: in promotion, economic information, innovation and training: it brings all these together in its methods and aims, setting targets and helping to achieve them. In particular it:
> Supports enterprises in defining development strategies for foreign markets
> Develops knowledge of international markets
> Plans market penetration with innovative events
> Promotes cooperation between enterprises, facilitating a match between demand and supply
> Enhances the competitiveness of enterprises vis-à-vis foreign markets
> Helps enterprises acquire the necessary skills to tackle the problems of internationalisation
> Provides customised assistance to enterprises in solving technical problems connected with foreign trade.
These are some of the activities relating to internationalisation offered to enterprises in which the Service Centre avails itself of the collaboration of national and international partners. It is thus the focus of a whole support network for local SMEs as regards innovation, globalisation and development opportunities abroad.
To this end, the Service Centre has been a member of the Enterprise Europe Network since 2008. This is a European network under the auspices of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise & Industry, in the context of the European Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP), to help small and medium-sized enterprises develop their potential for innovation and internationalisation.
Also significant is the collaborative relationship set up with the network of national and foreign Chambers of Commerce, the ICE, and Embassies and Consulates.
